This e-book can be printed for your child and is designed to be placed next to your child while they are doing their homework. For example, if your child has to write an essay at home, The Homework Presenter Checker will remind them how to set out the work and enable your child to be able to check step by step as they progress through the tasks that has been set. Ideally the pages that they need can be printed and even laminated back to back so they have what they need to hand.
There are two sections to The Homework Presenter Checker.
The first section deals with children mainly from KS1, 5 to 7 years of age. This will show children how to present a simple sentence and to be able to count, showing what each number represents. It questions and shows them what to do with a sentence and they will eventually remember on their own which is the achievable target of The Homework Presenter Checker.
The second section deals with children generally KS2, aged 7 to 11 although all children can use it. This will show them how to present a more sophisticated sentence with a view to writing a full story that has been set for them by their teacher to do as homework.
In the numeracy section, as in the first part, it questions and shows how to present their work neatly and up to an expected standard.
As we all know, children of all ages may have varying abilities within the class and therefore The Homework Presenter Checker is sold with both parts to accommodate this situation.
Today most children receive homework from school that includes, numeracy, reading and writing skills and parents are not always able to sit and explain how to complete the task that is required.
For example, the dinner needs to be cooked, other children in the family may need attention. There are numerous reasons why parents just don’t have the time.
The child tries to do its best but frequently forgets to do the task as required and nine times out of ten will not benefit from the learning objective / intention. This is by no way a criticism of the child, teachers or parents but no matter how often you explain to the child how to present their work, many may have a problem understanding the basics.
The Homework Presenter Checker will show your child in a fun, easy understanding way again and again until they eventually learn naturally and the presentation of their work will gradually improve to become second nature. They will also take more pride in their work. We have also created pages on shapes, tables and metric measurements and what big numbers look like.
